Dill weed essential oil: Its name derives from anethom, a name that Greeks gave to another similar species: fennel.
It is an annual herbaceous plant 40 to 50 cm tall, belonging to the umbeliferous family. It usually grows in temperate, temperate-warm climates, although it can live in somewhat cold areas.
To obtain the essential oil, it is distilled by steam from the fresh plant, harvested when its fruits ripen or by their distillation.
